Abstract

On 23 April 2021, the COVID-19 Emergency Response and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2021 received assent and extended COVID-19 emergency response legislation, including the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation (COVID-19 Emergency Response) Regulation 2020, to 30 September 2021.

Today (29 April 2021), the Executive Council approved changes to the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation (COVID-19 Emergency Response) Amendment Regulation 2021, to repeal adjustments to entry rights and repair obligations and clarify the misuse of notice to leave offence. These amendments commence on 1 May 2021.
