At a time when people working to address housing needs and homelessness are faced with growing demand, how can we improve well-being, attraction and retention of the workforce?
Q Shelter invites you to a free workshop and lunch to discuss the Workforce Connect program and to gain your input.

This workshop is for front-line staff, team leaders, managers, CEOs and Human Resources staff to examine and co-design:
• A well-being framework for our sector
• Tools and resources that support and strengthen workforce attraction and retention
• Strategies to promote our sector to the broader workforce
• Training and employment pathways in our sector for people with lived experience of housing need, homelessness or being a tenant of social and affordable housing.
Workforce Connect is a collaboration with members of the Queensland Peaks Partnership, led by Q Shelter in partnership with Homelessness Queensland.
The project aims to improve long-term attraction and retention of the workforce within the housing and homelessness sector.
Project Objectives:
• Developing and delivering a wellbeing framework to support the attraction and retention of the housing and homelessness workforce in Queensland.
• Developing resources to support the promotion of employment opportunities in the housing and homelessness workforce in Queensland with the goal of attracting people to the industry.
• Investigating a certificate qualification to support the entry of people with lived experience of housing need and homelessness into the industry.
