Director Housing and Public Works -Programs: Strategy Policy and Programs; Housing Homelessness & Sport; Brisbane

Job Description

In the Director position you will –

Provide expert advice and leadership in the delivery of program management, funding, and performance management initiatives across Programs, including working within an Agile project management environment and developing planning, monitoring, and reporting activities – this will include innovation and significant cross-sector engagement, including to explore commissioning cycles and investing in outcomes
Develop and maintain high-level relationships within the Programs area and across the Housing and Homelessness Services division more broadly, other departments and peak bodies, including to provide timely authoritative advice to all management levels, and improve interactions and integration with other areas through effective governance systems and processes
Lead and manage the activities of officers developing and managing work programs, administering funding, and managing performance of the Programs area and funded services – operating at strategic and operational levels within the organisation
Effectively monitor and review national and international program management and project management trends (e.g. the use of Agile) to ensure the Director-General, Deputy Director-General and the Housing Homelessness and Sport leadership team are assured Programs is operating as efficiently and effectively as possible
Provide exceptional leadership, build resilience and work collaboratively across multi-functional teams and data areas while managing uncertainty and change.
