ABOUT THE POSITION
As an integral part of the Executive Management Team, reporting to the COO and working closely with the CEO and CFO, you will deliver on the organisation’s strategic vision by leading the implementation of this plan through operational layers of business. Monitoring performance, inspiring change management and driving operational effectiveness across Regional Housing Limited (RHL).
The Executive Manager will be responsible for ensuring all housing and support programs and services meet contractual obligations and internal service benchmarks, whilst continuing to build successful sector relationships, and promoting the RHL brand and reputation within Northern Queensland.
Your primary duties will include:
Manage different multi-disciplinary teams and build their management and leadership capabilities through mentoring, professional development, and effective communication.
Manage and oversee the operational housing and support programs and services being delivered from different offices across the geographic footprint serviced by RHL and oversee the delivery of all housing and support programs and services.
Responsible for maintaining RHL’s HSQF, NRSCH and NDIS accreditation and adherence to compliance activities on an ongoing basis.
Identify trends impacting service delivery, and make recommendations to the COO to ensure that best practice is maintained.
Coordinate with the human resources department to recruit skilled talent and retain the best employees.
Demonstrate inspirational leadership by action and support delivered to all team members congruent with RHL values and behavioural competencies.
Deliver and oversee an operational budget to meet internal benchmarks.
Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation, funding, and contractual agreements.
Ensure property and service standards remain complaint and oversee audit and review schedule.
Selection Criteria
Possess exceptional leadership skill and be familiar with program delivery models, ideally within a social housing and support environment or not-for-profit community organisation, including demonstrated compassionate and empathetic people skills and a commitment to customer service.
Able to nurture internal and external relationships and understand community dynamics in a regional community setting.
Display quality decision making through a combination of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment; the ability to balance the delivery of programs against the realities of a budget; problem solving, prioritisation, and creative resourcefulness.
Exceptional capacity for managing, leading, and developing people; a collaborative team builder who can connect staff both on an individual level and in large groups.
Respond and react to challenges as necessary and able to demonstrate a high degree of independence, initiative, and organisation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills – able to communicate with a diverse population in a consistently informative, confident, respectful, and professional manner.
Able to prepare, evaluate, and report on operational performance metrics of moderate to high complexity.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Essential
At least 5 years of experience managing and coaching senior staff members in a similar environment.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in human services or business disciplines.
Current First Aid Certificate.
Current Queensland Drivers Licence (C Class).
Successful pass achieved on Pre-Employment validation and assessment including but not limited to Police Check, employment history and background check, qualifications, and skills validation.
Successful pass achieved on Queensland’s Working with Children Check – Positive Notice Blue Card issued by Blue Card Services.
Clearance achieved on NDIS Worker Screening Check (or state equivalent).
