Job Description

As part of the Queensland Housing Strategy 2017-2027, Q Shelter has been contracted to assist with regional engagement and capacity building activities to improve service delivery and outcomes for people who are homeless and at risk of homelessness.

This role will provide support to strengthen existing and emerging networks with a primary focus on person-centred care coordination for people with complex needs.  The successful candidate will collaboratively develop tools, resources and training to support care coordination facilitators and group members.

The ideal candidate will be a senior practitioner with a proven record in engagement and community development and have an excellent understanding of the drivers and solutions to homelessness.

The role will work extensively with decentralised regional networks and regional leaders across community services and Government agencies.  The role will also engage with central funding bodies to shape implementation and provide advice and assistance to consider the impacts and drive improvements to the initiative.

The successful candidate will offer high energy and high quality inputs to leading edge approaches to system coordination and strategies. They will be able to address and remove system barriers, build relationships, and support multi-agencies and sectors to work effectively.

Please note that this position will require travel within Queensland.  A criminal history check and a driver’s licence are also mandatory.
