Abstract

The Housing Ideas Bank offers you the chance to share your ideas and innovations that can deliver real results for Queensland.

Your ideas will bring a new perspective, encouraging us to think differently about housing in Queensland.

Proposals focused on affordable and innovative housing solutions that support Queenslanders to access more diverse housing options. This includes development partnerships highlighting innovation in planning, design or sustainability.

Opportunities and ideas that assist vulnerable families, including families experiencing domestic or family violence, to achieve greater stability and opportunity through strong support networks.

Innovative ideas that help young people gain important skills and employment opportunities whilst having access to appropriate and affordable housing.

Opportunities to provide housing pathways that connect people to the services and support they need, including:

• social and affordable housing
• private market rentals and home ownership
• opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in regional and remote parts of the state.

Solutions that support older people to have reliable and fair information about retirement living and homes that are designed to be adaptable and accessible at any age.

Ideas will be assessed for acceptance into the Bank. With the variety of ideas being proposed, we will consider the potential of each idea. Ideas may be kept in the Housing Ideas Bank for further development, or to influence future work.
