Abstract
Provides housing for a mix of income groups, development in the City of Sydney local area is required to make a contribution towards affordable housing.
This program applies to all development applications lodged from 1 July 2021.
The program provides the background, requirements and operational detail for various affordable housing contribution provisions in local environmental plans operating in the City of Sydney local area.
Equivalent monetary contribution amount
A developer may choose to provide affordable housing onsite or pay an equivalent monetary contribution to allow housing units to be built elsewhere in Green Square.
The equivalent monetary contribution amount effective from 1 March 2021 to 28 February 2022 is $10,588.
