Australia is grappling with a severe housing and homelessness crisis. Vulnerable populations, including young people, women fleeing domestic violence, First Nations people and individuals with mental health challenges are disproportionately affected. The challenges are compounded by a lack of affordable housing, limited wrap around support services and systemic barriers that prolong inequality. These statistics call for urgent need for comprehensive and scalable solutions to address the multifaceted issues within the housing and homelessness sector.
Third Sector’s 7th National Housing and Homelessness Forum is designed to equip delegates with scalable frameworks to reduce tenancy loss, innovative models to increase housing supply and solutions to address housing instability and its broader social impacts. Through expert-led sessions the forum will explore culturally safe, community-driven strategies tailored to diverse populations, fostering collaboration among policymakers, service providers and community leaders to drive transformative change and build a more equitable housing system in Australia.
