One of Queensland’s most expensive neighbourhoods has blocked an “inappropriate” affordable housing project intended to ease the shortage of homes.
Housing body Q Shelter chief executive Fiona Caniglia said it set a concerning precedent for similar affordable housing projects in Queensland.
Ms Caniglia said Queensland urgently needed to increase its housing supply in order to alleviate the affordability crisis, and to meet its 2032 population projections.
