Full-time | Brisbane-based | Field-based / hybrid role
Support people with disability to find and sustain quality SDA housing across South-East Queensland.
About Us
Everhomes provides Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) designed to support people with disabilities to live safely, comfortably, and with dignity. We are a values-driven organisation with a strong commitment to human rights and person-centred practice.
We’re not a traditional housing or property management organisation. Our focus is on people first; ensuring our homes, processes, and relationships genuinely support NDIS participants in their daily lives.
About the Role
Everhomes is seeking two full-time Housing Officers to support our growing South-East Queensland portfolio. The roles will help cover areas across Brisbane South, Brisbane East/Bayside, Ipswich, Toowoomba, Logan and the Gold Coast, with specific portfolio allocations determined based on business needs and the successful applicants’ location.
As a Housing Officer, you will be an on-the-ground contact for tenants, prospective tenants, support networks and local stakeholders. You’ll support people through the housing journey, including property viewings, move-ins, inspections and tenancy-related communication.
This role suits someone who enjoys autonomy, variety, meaningful face-to-face work, and being part of a supportive broader team.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with tenants, prospective tenants, support coordinators, guardians, families, SIL providers and other stakeholders.
- Support tenant move-ins and exits, including property access, local coordination, and condition reports.
- Conduct routine property visits and inspections to ensure homes remain safe, suitable and well-presented.
- Support SDA property viewings, tenancy matching and local engagement activities.
- Communicate with tenants and stakeholders about tenancy-related matters, inspections, property access and housing concerns.
- Assist with property or maintenance-related matters where local support is required, in collaboration with internal teams.
- Maintain accurate records and complete administrative tasks related to housing support and tenancy management.
What Makes a Great Housing Officer at Everhomes?
- You’re a strong communicator who enjoys working directly with people.
- You genuinely care about supporting people with disabilities to live with dignity, choice and respect.
- You’re organised, reliable and comfortable managing your own workload.
- You’re practical, approachable and solution-focused.
- You enjoy being out in the community and acting as a helpful local presence.
People with lived experience of disability are encouraged to apply.
