Description

The Central Queensland Housing and Homelessness Alliance (CQHHA) is a collaborative network dedicated to addressing housing and homelessness challenges across the Central Queensland region. It serves as a vital platform for networking among housing providers, enabling the sharing of insights, resources, and best practices.

Additionally, CQHHA acts as a conduit for escalating and addressing region-wide issues and strengths in the housing and homelessness sectors. The Alliance covers the Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Rockhampton, Livingstone, Gladstone, Banana, Central Highlands, and Woorabinda, fostering coordinated efforts and advocacy across these communities.

Network Topics

  • Housing Supply, Accessibility, and Affordability: Addressing the availability and diversity of housing options to meet community needs.
  • Homelessness Prevention and Support Services: Strengthening crisis response, transitional pathways, and long-term housing stability.
  • Regional Collaboration and Advocacy: Coordinating efforts across LGAs, sharing insights, and advocating for policy and funding support.
  • Workforce and Service Development: Building capacity through training, partnerships, and innovative service delivery approaches.
