Abstract

In a new podcast, Pro Bono News speaks with people with lived experience and experts in the field on what we can all do to help.

With so many huge problems in the world, it can be hard to know how you can help.

To better empower individuals to make a difference, Pro Bono News has today launched How Can I Help? A podcast for people who want to help, but don’t know where to start.

Hosted by Pro Bono News editor Wendy Williams, the six-part series features conversations with people with lived experience and experts in the field on what we can do to help in situations that we might encounter at some point in our lives – whether that’s when you see someone sleeping rough, if you think a friend or colleague is in an abusive relationship, or if a family member is suffering from depression.

In episode one, looks at what you can do if you see someone sleeping rough.

Pro Bono speaks with Akemi about his experience of sleeping rough on the streets of Melbourne, and George Hatvani, from homelessness organisation Launch Housing, about his recommendations on the ways people can help.
