Crisis Support Worker – Make a Real Difference

We are seeking a dedicated Crisis Support Worker to provide end-to-end support to individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness. This role is central to delivering compassionate, client-focused care from intake through to exit, ensuring each person is supported to achieve safe, stable, and sustainable housing outcomes.
About the Role
You will provide holistic case management, working closely with clients to identify their needs, strengths, and goals. Through advocacy, practical assistance, and emotional support, you will empower individuals to overcome barriers and build independence.
This role requires flexibility, including shift work across afternoons, nights, sleepovers, and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive, client-centred case management support
- Conduct assessments, including risk and safety planning
- Develop and review tailored support plans
- Assist clients to secure and maintain safe, affordable housing
- Advocate for access to housing and specialist services
- Connect clients with community supports and social networks
- Maintain accurate records and complete reporting requirements
- Contribute to a safe, respectful, and continuously improving work environment
Additional responsibilities may include tenancy management, facility upkeep, administrative duties, and supporting daily living activities within the accommodation setting.
About You
- Certificate III in Community Services (or similar)
- Experience working in homelessness, community services, or a related field
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation and service frameworks
- Ability to provide empathetic, respectful, and strengths-based support
- Skilled in advocacy, communication, and maintaining client confidentiality
- Willingness to work flexibly across a 24/7 roster
