About the Role

As a Women’s Integrated Recovery Practitioner, you will provide high-quality, client-centred support to women experiencing complex circumstances. Working as part of a small multidisciplinary team, you will deliver comprehensive case management, crisis intervention, advocacy, and safety planning while building strong partnerships across the local service system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide complex case management for women experiencing domestic and family violence and other intersecting issues.
  • Deliver timely crisis assessment, intervention and response.
  • Undertake risk assessments, safety planning and ongoing support.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients with housing, legal, financial, health, child protection and other support services.
  • Work from a trauma-informed, domestic and family violence-informed, client-centred and strengths-based framework.
  • Apply solution-focused approaches that promote empowerment, resilience and recovery.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with local services and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate case notes, records and reporting requirements.
  • Participate positively within a small, supportive and collaborative team.

About You

You are an experienced Women’s Integrated Recovery Practitioner, experienced in DFV who can confidently manage complex client presentations while maintaining a compassionate and professional approach.

You will demonstrate:

  • Extensive experience working with women experiencing domestic and family violence.
  • Strong complex case management skills.
  • Excellent crisis intervention and risk assessment capability.
  • Sound understanding of trauma-informed and DFV-informed practice.
  • Demonstrated experience using solution-focused, client-centred and recovery-oriented approaches.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the local service system and referral pathways.
  • Excellent communication, advocacy and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to work calmly, effectively and flexibly in a fast-paced crisis environment.
  • A commitment to collaboration and contributing positively within a small team.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Community Services or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated current experience in domestic and family violence services and complex case management.
  • Current Driver Licence.
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or ability to obtain.
  • Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
