Q Shelter Learning Exchange – Supporting people who experience homelessness who have no income.

Michelle Debert, Coordinator of HART4000 along with some of her team will present on “Supporting people who experience homelessness who have no income”.

Communify works within a consortium of partners to deliver specialist services and are a part of the ASRA (Asylum seeker and refugee assistance) program. Michelle will talk to the various cohorts that lack income and also experience homelessness and housing instability and provide training to the sector on how to navigate that system and source solutions. There will also be the opportunity to ask questions.

Communify has supported people with no income in various ways over the decades. Communify’s HART4000 (Homelessness Assessment and Referral Team) have gained valuable experience over the years and have supported many vulnerable people with no income for various reasons.

With the rise in homelessness in Brisbane we will continue to see more people who lack income and residency and this vital information can assist front line practitioners to upskill and support this cohort of vulnerable people.
