Last week Brisbane’s recent density reforms were described as the “worst policy in 100 years”.
It certainly makes for a striking headline, but it misunderstands the problem entirely. Affordability is being driven by a historic undersupply of housing, and policies designed to unlock more homes are aimed at addressing that reality, not creating it.
