The COO is a key leadership role, involving:
- Provide strategic operational guidance to the CEO and management team.
- Lead the planning and delivery of daily operations across the tenancy, property and security teams.
- Review, update and implement strategies, policies, procedures and work instructions to ensure alignment with agreed principles for supportive housing, trauma informed practice and cultural safety.
- Maintain operational quality controls and management of risks.
- Implement and monitor the organisation’s tenancy, property and security systems, procedures, and internal controls to support the efficient and effective operation of the organisation.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
- Support organisational growth in line with the strategic and operational plan by identifying supportive housing opportunities through the development of strategic partnerships and collaborative relationships.
- Contribute to the development of budgets and monitor implementation of program areas to ensure they are in line with parameters.
- Support the development of a positive organisation culture focused on the best outcomes for tenants, building a positive and productive team and valuing continuous improvement.

Oversight of CGQ’s signature Supportive Housing programs: You understand and have experience in managing community programs across a range of locations.
Technology Integration: You have familiarity and expertise in integrating technology to streamline operations and drive business performance.

Essential
- Degree in Management or related field.
- Strong management skills and experience in managing teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment.
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
- Consistently delivers high-quality work and is competent in all elements of the position.
Desirable
- Experience working in a not-for-profit/housing organisation.
- Driver’s License.
